What exactly is your degree?
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Management Information Assurance, focusing on data science and information assurance. Before graduating, I was fortunate enough to work part-time as a Data Integration Project Manager with Nesso Services and Cogenics Consulting. I now work as a Business Analyst and Report Developer. Recently, I assisted in implementing the migration of the fifth largest REIT in the world from its legacy billing system to a new Yardi-powered billing system. The new application optimizes asset performance alongside implementing client-driven Cognos, Power Bi, and YSR SQL custom reports.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I grew up always jumping from project to project; however, my most noteworthy endeavor was at the age of twelve in 2008 when I noticed a demand for cold drinks and snack food among construction workers in my developing neighborhood. I knew buying in bulk and delivering the product to them would enhance my returns, so I purchased snack food and beverages at wholesale stores and pushed a cart up around my neighborhood. At the end of every day, when calculating gross and net profit, I noticed profit trended higher in the morning and teetered off by 1:00 pm. I adapted to this by waking up at 8:00 am every day and hooking the cart up to my electric scooter to cover more area faster. My goal was to compete with my babysitter's hourly and ultimately earn enough to buy a MacBook by the end of the Summer. Fast-forward to today, and I usually bounce around coding websites, DJing bars and events, Weight Training, and Day Trading Options and Futures.
What certifications do you have?
I hold certifications in Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Additionally, I have certifications in MySQL, PostgreSQL and Python. I am working on my Masters in Data Science while also pursuing additional Azure, AWS, and PMI certifications (CAPM and ultimately PMP).
